Just what the subject says, my leather saddlebags tend to flop around in the wind when empty. Besides being unsecured while I park in the city with no locks and being easily detached.
Trying to find a set of slanted hard bags that fit nicely with the lines on my bike. The roomier the better. Probably something with turn signals since the stockers will likely be in the way. I already have LED flasher so that's no problemo.
I have seen several, but its hard to find pics to compare what they'd look like on the bike.

I have a lot of opinions, some of them professional, some of them educated, most of them I just pulled out of my @$$
Some of my best stupidity is largely self-inflicted.

I have leather lykes and they lock and work fine the web site has plenty of options
If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Get alot of rain in Michigan. I generally avoid it if I can, but sometimes end up caught out in it anyway..Jesserkugelman wrote:very sturdy even if using the brackets they come with. not very waterproof

Re: S83 hard "bags"
Picked a set up from the ebay
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 1979633667
Only took two years to get around to it! The leather bags I had were starting to come apart at the seams so I figured might as well.
Drilled out the turn signals on the cases and put the sockets from my stock ones in so I could use my led bulbs. Also drilled some holes in it to mount to the factory saddlebag supports.
Looks a HELL of a lot better now!
