Hey fellas !
New member from Sweden and I'm having some issue with the side stand safety switch i believe.
The bike dies when putting it in 1st gear.
It's not pushing forward or anything like when its sticky clutch disc, it just cuts off peacefully ..
Is there anyone who knows how to bypss it?
I tried to disconnect the wires, and also bridge the wires together... still dies...

There is a switch on the clutch lever which does the same thing - check it's working or connect the two wires together and bypass it.

Connecting the two wires for the switch, from the bike to each other should bypass it.
The clutch switch on the bars only affects starting.

If that doesn't do it, one of the wires may be broken.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Yeah sorry - I was thinking of my old ZX9 which had the clutch switch do the same thing when it played up.
If he's connected the wires and still has the problem then suspect broken wires or a bad relay.

Not trying to be a pain but Nave is correct, make sure you are jumping the wires from the bike side. It is easy to get mixed up and jump the switch wires. I won't go into detail about how I know this.

You mean you unplugged the switch then bridged the actual switch? I can relate to that

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Re: Need help too bypsss sidestand switch
Ok guys, an update on the matter...
There was nothing wrong with the sidestand switch...
The problem was that i forgot to connect the ground wire to the stand located under the seat..
I worked on the rear indicators weeks ago and disconnected everything..
Also forgot to mention that my intruder is a bobber...so the wires are all over the place
Anyhow... the bike works fine now... the sidestand switch can live on

Yea, I thought about that relay late last night, but you found it before I could mention it.
Good on ya. Ride on.
