Dear Lord, I give thanks for Your plan of salvation which has, in Your Son, rescued me from eternal damnation. May the minds and hearts of doubters be brought to see the greatness of the Christ's sacrifice. Let this be our prayer offered up in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Dear Lord, I give thanks for the Savior's sacrifice. Because of the greatness of Your love, I have been saved and someday will return home. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks. Amen.

Dear Lord, without You, Your Son, and Your intervention, we would be spiritually poor and destitute.
We give thanks that Jesus has made us rich in blessings which are showered down upon us in this world and the next.
In His Name I pray. Amen.

Dear Lord, many of us have been blessed to have family and friends who keep us in their prayers and do all they can to support us and keep us safe. For them we give thanks. But most of all, we appreciate the Savior and the sacrifice He made so our sins might be forgiven and we would be assured of life eternal. For His faithful and ongoing presence in our lives, we are truly grateful. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.

Dear Lord, let the world hear and hearken to Your warnings about sin and its death-bringing results. Grant that repentant hearts may be turned to, and welcome in, the Savior who alone can save. In Jesus' Name, I ask it. Amen.

Dear Lord, I give thanks You are willing to incline Your ear to Your people who come to You in the Name of our Savior. It is in the Name of Jesus we offer up this thanks. Amen.

Dear Lord, this world is searching for someone or something in whom it can believe.
Send Your Holy Spirit and grant the world may look to the Redeemer
for direction, forgiveness, and salvation.
This I ask in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Dear Lord, I give thanks that because of the Savior's sacrifice and the Holy Spirit's work, I have been called to saving faith and forgiven. Grant that my gratitude will find expression in unending praise to my Redeemer and Lord. In Jesus' Name I ask it. Amen.

Dear Lord, forgive our impatience and our failure to be committed to the simplest requests of the Savior. Grant that we may be proven faithful to You and prepared for that unknown hour when this world will end and a new world ~ a better world ~ shall begin. This I ask in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Prayer for Peace

Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart, that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live together in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Dear Lord, not because of anything I have done, but purely out of Your own loving heart, my life has been changed infinitely for the better. Help me, even when I don't fully understand, to gladly pray, "Thy will be done." In Jesus' Name I ask it. Amen.

I am the resurrection and the life, says the Lord;
whoever believes in me will never die.



Gospel Mk 12:18-27
Some Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection,
came to Jesus and put this question to him, saying,
"Teacher, Moses wrote for us,
If someone's brother dies, leaving a wife but no child,
his brother must take the wife
and raise up descendants for his brother.
Now there were seven brothers.
The first married a woman and died, leaving no descendants.
So the second brother married her and died, leaving no descendants,
and the third likewise.
And the seven left no descendants.
Last of all the woman also died.
At the resurrection when they arise whose wife will she be?
For all seven had been married to her."
Jesus said to them, "Are you not misled
because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God?
When they rise from the dead,
they neither marry nor are given in marriage,
but they are like the angels in heaven.
As for the dead being raised,
have you not read in the Book of Moses,
in the passage about the bush, how God told him,
I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,
and the God of Jacob?
He is not God of the dead but of the living.
You are greatly misled."

Dear Lord, pains and problems are part and parcel of life in this sinful world.
I give thanks for the Redeemer who has rescued my soul for eternity.
May I also rejoice in His ongoing companionship which helps with the living of each day.
In Jesus' Name I ask it. Amen.


To Help Everyone I Meet

Lord God, I pray that today the love I show to my fellow man will not be a sham,
but fashioned in a sincere heart. May your Holy Spirit be powerful in me, blinding me to annoyances and putting aside selfish greed,
so that I may lift up the people I meet, showing them warm affection and leaving them filled with good spirits and confidence.
If they are sorrowful, lead me to console them. If they are lost, let me show them the path.
Help me always to seek after good rather than evil, and to display, for the whole world to see,
the miracles you can work in our souls.

In the name of Christ, who was always ready to teach and heal and save, I pray,
Amen.

Dear Lord, today we give thanks for sending Your Son to save the lost. May we do all we can to point others to His blood-bought forgiveness. In Jesus' Name I ask it. Amen.



Prayer Of Thanks

Lord Jesus, How often I forget that it is because of You that I live. You made all of us from the very dust that You created. Then You did the most wondrous of all things, You made us in Your image and You breathed life into us. I join those praying with me today in thanking you for our lives, and we pray that You continue to sustain us each day. From Your heavenly place accept our prayers and our praise.
Amen.

Dear Lord, our eternity in heaven begins and ends with You. It is Your plan, Your Son, His Sacrifice, and Your Spirit-given faith which forgives and brings us into paradise. For all You have done may we be truly thankful. In Jesus' Name I ask it. Amen.

For God’s Guidance Today

Heavenly Father, in you I live and move and have my being:
I humbly pray you so to guide and govern me by your Holy Spirit,
that in all the cares and occupations of my life I may not forget you,
but may remember that I am ever walking in your sight;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Lord, we give thanks You are a just God, but we are most indebted to You for Your grace which, because of Jesus, gives us life eternal. In Jesus' Name, I give thanks. Amen.

Dear Lord, once we were doomed and condemned by sin's illness which penetrated our body, soul, and mind, our past, our present, and our eternal future. Truly, humankind was without hope. In mercy You sent Your Son into this world, not to bring the cure, but to be the cure. His life's blood poured out on Calvary holds out the reality of forgiveness for our dark misdeeds. Because of the cure, sorrow and sadness have been replaced by joy, hope, gladness, by our loving Lord. Thanks be to God. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Heavenly Father, truly Your wisdom is beyond us -- Your caring and compassion past our comprehension. May we always give thanks for the Savior who suffered every unfairness, so we might be saved by grace. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
