Are you looking for a tank? If so you may want to check this out.

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

If I may...... Back in the "heyday" of Chopping/Customizing the 1400 ( on the Purple Board from about 10 to 18 years ago) ....There once was a 6 gallon tank available from a guy in Germany.
And it was really BIG-looking when installed on the 1400.

Why is because of the huge center "tunnel" the 1400 needs

It did have good Styling/Shape,......but it really was about as big as anyone thought would look appropriate on the sleek lines of the 1400.

One of the big problems with the 1400 is the short length of the tank. The trippletree comes around an hits anything that goes too far forward which determines the length of the tank more than anything. This forces a tank larger than a little over 4 gallons to either be very wide or very bulbous which will detract from the lines of the bike.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

I like your choice of words there,...."late to the Party". :space:

Indeed, the customizing of 1400's has pretty much fallen off quite alot. :space: You might try contacting Hans at LMC in Germany.
I have bought several parts from him that went on my Chopper.
