I've had one for a long time. It flashes 3 or 4 times then stays on until you release the brake. Seems to work, never been rear-ended. [emoji2]

Some of them say 1 amp some of them by 5 amps, some 10 amps. How many you think are necessary

The one amp one will be good enough for driving LEDs. The 5 amp version would be better for regular lighting.

You can always go this route and not worry about adding a flasher as it is built into the light. Plug and play.

The PO of my bike installed one, no clue what brand. I have had the bike over 4 years and it still works great.
