Weird idle issue after a few minutes

Post by KennyFSU »

'91 VS750 with 17k on the ticker.

Cranks right up (no choke needed) and runs fine but after a few minutes the left side (rear cylinder) exhaust starts hesitating and you can hear/feel the exhaust puff out white smoke erratically. Rides fairly smooth but sometimes at low rpms (1st and 2nd gear) it’s stumbles during acceleration. Any ideas?

You may want to check your carb sync.

Thanks again for the reply, nav. I did a quick search and found this video.

I definitely don't have all the right tools for the job so I may need to take it to a shop but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
