Broken Final Drive Filler Cap

Post by DannyAl »

Hey everyone I have some issue here. I have broken my final gear filler cap. Now i can't ride my 2000 Suzuki Intruder 1400. Where and how can I get the same cap or is there a place where I can get a similar bolt with the same threading? I would absolutely appreciate it with any sort of info. I do not know if hardware stores have it or something. I live in So-Cal. Thank you
Lets ride.

I think it is a 3/4" pipe plug NPP thread with a sealing face. Should be available most pipefitting stores.

Noooo pipe thread do not have a sealing face. Thats the whole point of pipe thread, taper thread with PTFE

Fuck this up and you are looking at a new pumpkin case.

Why do people tighten things up that dont need to be --its just an oil plug --its not holding the engine in.

How good are you with an angle grinder. I would make one from hard wood and cut a thread with a thin disc cutter.

!!!!!!!!!!! I did say you will have to be good. I mean real good. or buy a new one.

Champagne cork. leave the shiny silver paper on and it will match in.

Not many champagne corks in Lechys house.

Drinking champagne is like riding a Harley.
Both are over priced over rated and under powered.

Drinking Champagne is like a harley. Its for people with small penis, more money than sense and gets right up your nose.
