I continually find it odd that the clutch side mirror in that second pic is almost invisible. :big grin:

That's another fine example if I've ever seen one.

Glad you signed up John. I hope you'll come back often! I think I can say that for everyone else as well.

My 97.

My 88. An older picture. I don't have the ugly saddlebags on it anymore.

That is my horn. I always relocate them there. I point them towards the right. Easy install. Just add about 6" if wire and use the supplied bracket with the horn and done. I found the stock location in the way of the front vacuum port.

DM, I really like your new blue paint job. You really did good with that one. The burgundy bike is sweet as well, nice work!

Thank you. The color of my 88 is not my favorite color by any means. Especially since it is not a stock paint job. I am unsure the history of the bike but it was completely re-painted, quite crappily, prior to my ownership. The thing needs some TLC that I would love to give it but I don't have the funds for. It especially would not add any value to the bike either. Things like a new wiring harness and a paint job. The 87-88 models do seem to hold their value a bit better than all other years based on what KBB says. I just can't justify putting another $1000+ into the bike.

1999 VS1400 GLP 4kmiles when bought 2 years ago. Only home 1 day a week. So now she is at 17k miles.

Here she is almost stock. Just added saddle bags and a seat prior to my 1st trip with my dad, little brother, and the ol' lady for a week of fun.

I grew tired of the monster Memphis Shades Fats after some time.

So as of about 2 weeks ago a local shop was shutting down I picked up a slim for only $75 OTD.

Jolsen, nice ride. I don't do really any distance riding but when I did commute 30 miles each way to work I had a National Cycles flyscreen on my VS800. I am considering another one for the 97 just for looks but I have other items on my list for the bikes that puts this at the bottom. That was a great deal on the Slim.

yeah they have helmets such a Bell Revolver for 90 bucks. All kinds of stuff super cheap. I wish I had the cash I would buy out the store and relist the stuff on ebay for profit.

Here's my S83. Ain't she a beauty? That's 83cc's of raw 'seat of the pants' tire-smoking power!

My baby (well my other ride anyway :naughty:) as she currently sits.

Image
If I can't find a bigger ride within a year, I'll convert her to a solo spring seat, slam it with some struts, finally put the apes and other exhaust back on. Best case scenario, I find someone who bought a 1400/1500 that they think is way to big. Do a straight trade, maybe some cash on my part and sell all the accessories I have laying around. At 6' 2", this baby just seems smaller and smaller every time I ride her.

Being 5'10", the Intruder is about my perfect size. No complaints yet anyway. :big grin:
