I like it too!
Question... Can we take about an 1" out of our stock height with an adjustment to the stock shocks? I would love to drop mine just a smidgen.

No, unless you disassemble and cut out a coil or 2. I wouldn't recommend it. Look for some Marauder or Shadow shocks on eBay. Others will work but may require the eyes reamed or new bushings.

Lowering links are an option as well, but also not recommended.

Suzuki Savage (S40) shocks are a direct bolt on. :)

Have someone snap a pic of you sitting on the bike. I bet its already lowered to the height you seek. [emoji2]

Considering they're mounted at an angle, geometry doesn't work that way. If they're 11", it's going to drop his ride height slightly more than 2".

That's why I said ("About 2") :fu: ;)

Blaine...you better pull out your license plate! Those things have been known to get curled up by the back tire. One day I looked back at mine and wondered who the hell would curl up my plate! Then I read a few stories.

;)

I know it's only been a few weeks, but how are you liking the 11" shocks? I'm leaning that way I think too

Marauder or Shadow shocks. These will fit with some work? I'm also interested in lowering my rear. I hate how high it sits =( but I have to be careful because I have a custom bag mount on mine. Hmm.. Has anyone done any further research on easy fit springs?

The shocks from a s40 (Savage) are 11" & a direct fit.

PO had dropped the rear of my 96 to 11" shock
Stock 80/90-21 front tire, 140/90-15 rear makes for a lean slightly raked look..

Do wonder how much handling geometry is affected..

Not significantly, but enough you'd notice with the stock shocks on.

I had 11.5" on mine when I bought it, I thought it handled ok. No real issues. Till I corrected the geometry in front by lowering it. Night and day. Handled like it was on rails after that. I know it's not a sport bike, but I haven't had a cruiser handle like that since.

Progressive front and rear, of course.

1400s all had 19. 21s came from 800s and I believe 750s. Late 80s to mid to late 90's. Don't remember exact years. Bolt right up without any mods.
