OK, so watcha gonna do next?

Just kidding! That Alaska trip was fantastic! Wish I had the stamina to do it. I took that trip in '68 in a 1950 Pontiac and I thought that was a real adventure, but doing it on a bike is really something. Old time rider = Da Man!

Carl David sorry this is best pic I found of the 38 that sat in my barn twenty years.Gave $550 for it in early 80s.I got it running and started it once a month for ten years just so the 216 would stay ok. Never got road ready at all as had my 37 before and still have it.Sold the 36 Ford pick up with no drive line but its far away now and most likely will be a build this winter. This one had no seats and all glass bad but only 63,000 miles and me third owner after old man died that got it new the guy got it at the estate sale and just flipped it to me.It was a nice one to do .A little more rust than my 37 but lots better than most and never wrecked. This is a 70,000 job.New hot rod frame, new crate v-eight,but he wanted a old four speed so thats what it has.He had the old gauges redone and such a great job inside. Its won a lot so far at some big shows and he is not driving it yet just after he unloads it at shows and in some short runs.
Am glad it stayed close.Carey Brothers,Carl and Shane have done a lot of nice ones the last 15 years and both do only this now. Both kin to me and the wife from mom and dads sides.Wish I could fine better pics. The reflections in the paint make it look like rivets in the bed. [emoji2] It sure is not a rat rod like it would have been if I ever got it on the road if down to no old ones.

Hey Paul, that 38 sure looks good. Can't beat the old pick em up trucks. I posted these (48 and 36 Fords) on the other board, but here they are again. The 48 sat on a 72 F250 frame and running gear. The 36 had a SBC and StangII front end.

I'll bet Paul knows what that front bumper came off of on the 48. [emoji2]

This is my long time friend Lee Edwards .Great wrench and started and owned the Lee's motorcycle shop in Harrodsburg,Ky. 1976 -2016 .He is beside his so nice 1934 Ford that he bought in in 1960. Corvette running gear, air, power, and he did it all but paint and inside finsh. Its a driver and been in it with him to lots of runs in and out of state.Have drove his nice chopped 40 chevy pick up to Louisville ,Kentucky to Street Rod Nationals the last two years. Both are so fun to ride and drive.

Those are beautiful rides, above driver quality. Mine aren't show cars, but I drive them everywhere as regular transportation.

The bumper: You are close, it's a 49 Plymouth. Those ribbed bumpers were very popular at one time and wound up on a lot of oldies as a customizing touch. I also had a 36 five window coupe with one on the rear which wrapped nicely around the rear spare.

You all will wish my kid never came to see me by the time I am through :lmao: Some look bad from being a old pic to start with to make a copy of.Need to get some of the Colorado trip on but we did not take many of it. Like C-D s old pics a lot is reason I put my old truck and old 56 rag top in some.

Image Carl David this is a best of Show Overall to the new owner of my old 38 back in May at the Keenland show near Lexington,Ky. Needed a truck to haul it away. [emoji2] The truck looks so much better next to it.
