What a windy day in Duluth looks like

It's not a good day to be in Duluth especially down at the harbor. I wanted to paste the camera shot of the harbor but couldn't find the correct address. So it looks like we will have to click on the links. :bang: Notice the waves going over the wall on the other side of the channel. :eek: [space] :OhNo;

Crap, I think we are getting ice on the camera lens. :Umm: [space] :bonk:

A better view of the channel and the other side.

Good for you!

Don't you have plans to meet up with Yooper? He's got TONS of great knowledge about the Good Roads to Ride up there.

I don't know if I will have enough time to visit him while up there. I would like to meet him and shake his hand but I don't know if I will get to visit the area all that much. :blink:

Rode in some strong winds last three days but today's ride to meet old guys was better. Now rain and cool temps back. Would rather have wind and sun again. :putput:

Yep rode about 500 miles the last three day. A little wind but with warm temps it was great! :putput: :rock:

Wind is hugging the great lakes. Windy and flipping freezing here today.
To tell you how weird the weather is, it's windy and 38 degrees w/real feel of 23 at my house. We are along the lake shore. Inland 20 miles south of I90 there's barely a breeze and temps are in the 50's.
When it gets like this I always say some Canadian left the door open.
Regardless it's awful cold so no riding here.

The deer aren't doing well up here. DNR says we've lost over half of last years fawns. Deer are still yarded up, they should be spreading out by now but there is 3 ft of snow in the woods out in the back. I walked the 620 A 2 days ago and counted 55 dead ones. They can't get down to the feed. Even the big does are skinny, ribs sticking out.

Good Grief! 3 feet of snow in the woods and winter storm warnings! In the middle of April! You've really gotta be a cold weather person to live up there. :XmasTree: :lol:

Cold is O.K., sounds crazy but it's hot weather that affects me most. I did AIT in Ft. Polk and thought I was gonna die from the heat and humidity.

I posted this because I'm really worried about the deer herd. Tough times, and it's happened before, just takes the herd a long time to recover.

Yoop, we've seen that here as well. I suppose it is nature doing her thing but still not nice to see.
One year like this, the deer had eaten everything up to 6' off the ground and including bark off tree's. Game wardens were walking the woods shooting deer to weak to move or feed.
If the weather doesn't break soon you may need to see if you can get some feed store donation's to truck into the woods?
