Knee is getting worse

I don't mean to be an alarmist but if you're having unprovoked pain that prevents use, and more alarming legs/ankles swelling just from sitting, you should probably see a doctor. That swelling can be a sign of heart issues.

Exactly... I was having leg cramps and thought it was because I do so much walking in my job.
Funny thing happened no swelling but ended up being a blood clot that went to and straddled my lungs.
Your symptoms sounds like what they warned me about symptoms of a blood clot. Go yo a Doctor and be checked out.

X-rays showed nothing so he gave me pain pills and told me to stay off it for a few days and to come back if it doesn't get better. 50 friggin dollars for an office visit. I don't think I will be going back, I mean what the hell does a shrink (head doctor) know about knees? I think I should have taken my mothers advice and became a lawyer.

BT, yah we went from 70's to 50 daytime temps and 30-40 overnight temps. Add in the rain and the old bones can hurt.

Yeap, I have a friend that can predict when it will rain before and better than the weatherman. His back starts hurting days before the rain moves into the area. Depending on how bad it hurts will tell how much rain we get. He seems to be more accurate than grannie Clampett and her woolly worm.
