Is this a motorcycle forum?

Post by n-trude »

I know I am in the minority on most other things talked about here.
I just looked over the topics. The question I asked came to mind.

Yes but this is just the anything goes bar part of it. If you don't like lies, being made fun of, making fun of your car/bike/truck/church/vote/weight,to tall,to short, and so much more go to the rides part were motorcycles are talked about sometimes. :putput: Is our Kid Cop :HatTip: still doing his good work in gator land? Miss him bad mouthing us old folks a little.

I go here, first, every time I come to the site. There are hundreds of different threads, all about bikes.

I almost never see a post by you, even on the 'what did you do to the motorcycle today".

7 out of 21 new posts were motorcycle related when I looked just now.

I guess you have to keep in mind this forum is for a niche motorcycle model that hasn't been made in 12 years and in the grand scheme of things didn't sell that well anyway.

Here ya go Mike......take your pick...
Now if you remember right on the ole purple board the ratio was much lower for bike threads vs general discussions topics...
No big deal
http://www.intruders-alert.com/viewforum.php?f=3

At our last Harley Owners Group monthly meeting several topics were discussed and on the docket...

Pledge of Allegiance

welcoming of new members or guests

silent moment for our troops serving stateside and overseas

short Christian prayer

upcoming monthly ride

raffle tickets

Picnic

Christmas Party

a ride after the meeting

raffle ticket winners

So as you can see only 20% of the topics were bike related....but the same can be said for any general group with a common cause or goal(s)

I think Johnny is right about general stuff.

But I will make a observation, the other board was more fun. I think.
Not to much fun here. Not too many jokers here but a few would not pee on you if you were on fire.

Sure it is. But besides motorcycles, bikers can intelligently discuss almost any other topic under the sun. Well, most bikers anyway. [emoji2]

We can agree to disagree Mike......that's the privilege of this board..
But I'll bet my last quarter that if any on this board were to meet up somewhere they would put all their personal and political views aside and ride [emoji106]
Although we share no parallel political views we've rode together at a few rallies and nary a word of discourse was uttered....
There's a simple reason for that......because we all share a common bond here...Motorcycles brought us here and that's what keeps us here .

And as far as the differences between the ole purple board and this site ......there isn't a 'little ceasar' on this board .. [emoji106]
And there isn't any 'cliques' here either...

 Funny how a statement as honest as this receives no response, and I don’t mean haha funny.

My first thought is it's a massively underrated motorcycle. It just sits there all innocent and forgotten during the cold rainy days and I start to wonder why I have this machine that's probably a bit too small for my 6' 220lb frame. Even firing it up with just the 6" exhaust tips for "mufflers" doesn't do that much to get me worked up but pull in the clutch, thunk it into first, and.....

Mike, it's as much fun as you want to make it. Sure there are a few that want to do nothing but cause trouble, but that's what it takes to make the world go around. Plus the fact that you continually trash Trump on a board that is mostly Trump fans and you're going to made like your not welcome. Oh and I would pee on you if you were on fire. Don't get me wrong - the LC I had was a great machine, but it wasn't a popular bike on the road. There were 10 times as many V-Stars or Shadows out there compared to the Intruders.

Same thing has happened throughout history with other bikes. Yamaha XJ's come to mind here - they were the bulletproof, low budget UJM workhorse of the era but were overshadowed by the flashier GSX and GPZ's of the time.
