OK what you think of the Stallion?

Post by n-trude »

I almost bought a New one in 08. I put money down and they had some trouble filling the orders.
So after 90 days of waiting, I bought a G Wing. I have loved it and rode the wheels off for 111K miles.
So NOW I am looking at a Stallion, for a second look.
I know its not a bike. Has a steering wheel. Yes I know. But I am not afraid to ride something different.
I go for the fun of the trip. So I can see trying to make some miles sitting inside a trike instead of ON the trike.

So hate it? I know you don't want one, not wanting you to have one. I have drove one 45 miles I was different.

I took one for a spin in OKLA. the Dealer got worried when I was gone for 40 min. He asked the wife was she sure I was OK
she said he has ridden for over 30 years. He got worried because 3 people were waiting for a test ride... :lmao: :lmao:

It is different, and I still find them cool... so maybe?

What you think..?

I didn't know what it was, so I looked it up...yeah then I knew, just didn't know that's what it's called. It looks cool, looks like it wouldn't handle for nuthin' but I don't know...but while looking for pics I ran across this, which I think you need. [emoji2]

Well... if it had a roof, doors, airconditioning, 4 wheels and Cadillac badges I would love it! [emoji106]

They have A/C, strangely...

first time I ever saw one, my first thought was somebody wrecked a Honda Civic, and made this out of it.

For different, I really like the Slingshots. They have a cool almost Batmobile look to them and at least my wife would ride in one of them. She's always been too scared to ride on my bike with me.

I like to look at all this stuff but am with PCC "mite as well get a convertible".Had a 56Ford and 57 chevy convertibale and liked the looks lots more. I like trikes to ride and look at but way down the list if I have to stop riding two.Now if really rich would have a trike, old servi-car Harley 45 with the box more for looks and slow fun than long travel. Another old street rod truck ,a 33-35 Dodge full fender'ed ,late running gear is my dream more than two travel thing. What ever turns you on.Mean while my old rat 37 truck and too many high mile motorcycles may keep me content in old age? :putput:
A stallion has been around my area a long time now.Ford six for power I think? It sure is more three wheel car looking than anything.Looked at it and talked to the owner at a few car shows and cruise in.He puts so few miles on it but likes it so that's all that matters. [emoji106]

If I'm going to ride a bike it will have 2 wheels. To each his own but what's the fun in not being able to fall over at a stoplight and amuse your fellow humans.

Just got back a few minutes ago after a trip to town to pick up a few things with the wife. The old truck is still fun after 40 years and still a few thumbs up and waves from kids every time out. This is a old pic of the 37 from around 1987 as had just got the 84 Harley FXST in front of it. Would not trade the old rat even for a stallion if I had to keep it. :putput: Image

Ok thanks for the input.
I knew most here would never want to own one, and not care to ride one.
I like the look. Different for sure. [emoji2]

I was convinced my idea of owning one was the opposite of most here.

So that makes me think I might just buy one. :lmao:

My building this cabin has, got my bucket kind of full.
Wife thinks I need to finish this cabin. First.

But I found one I think is a good price and good shape.

The right thing is to wait and not spend the money for a Stallion.

Have you ever done something you know is not the right thing to do?

Mike, as much as you get around on the trike, the stallion would probably be the perfect choice. You'd have all the normal trike stuff with the nice extras to keep you more comfortable when it's too hot or cold.
I know that 3 wheels isn't everyone's thing but you've been on three for a while now. I say go for it. Besides I think it would look cool towing your trailer.

Old time your right the steering wheel is not my thing. Maybe I can convert to stick steering like a jet plane. :lmao:

I never had any trouble riding three wheel trike. So its not a big deal to get a stallion. I like them, cool look.

So I could get a smart Car, and put a hitch on it. :lmao: :lmao:

Was thinking it would be as safe as a Trike, I guess, I like the back roads, and people would stare. Saw a wind UP Key on the back of one. :lmao:

They are some nice ones for $7000 so they price is ok..

They look funny too, and both it and the Stallion have steering wheels.

Might be some good car buys from Houston, soon, Low mile new cars, with new carpeting... :lmao: :lmao:

Mike I do remember the big wind up key put on old VWs like the 58 I had .They were fun. [emoji2] Being a 40 Ford fan liked the looks of the 40 looking hood they made for the BUG.
I have rode a good number of trikes and more GW than any.Told a guy at the cruise in Sat. that was thinking of getting one and came to me because his friend told him I had owned and rode so many motorcycles. Told him",1500 GoldWing trike best buys I have seen in last year." A friend that sold his shop after ten years and worked on all brands told me that Gold Wing parts are getting hard to find on the old fours and even some on the 1500 six? I would have thought with the number sold would be a ton of good after market parts!
Only reason I like the 1500 is the high cost valve adjustment on the 1800 and no valve adjustments on the 1500. Love side cars in looks but they take time to feel safe on in right hand turns.Trikes to me felt safe after just two miles on.
