Well, we don't get the nasty snow or freezing rain, but it does get damp and wet, not fun.

Not sure what I miss, but I know it isn't riding in Okla during Feb. It can get nasty here at times and that isn't fun for anyone except the snow skiers. I remember one winter where the snow was as deep as my moms car and I had to drive out to my cousins farm to feed the pig. Needless to say the pig didn't get fed that day by me.

Yeh, but they get snow in NYS. If we get anything other than ice we feel lucky. Speaking of NYS I spent a summer on City Island in NYC once. It was nice to visit but I wouldn't want to live there long.

Re: Something I miss...
I worked for a sail maker while there. He is one of the largest in the world now. They even have a loft in Spain now. I should have stayed there I could have been working in Spain. Anyway, I had to go around and pick up the sails off the ships so I did a lot of traveling while at work. I also got to meet some interesting people. One of the ships I had to cross belonged to John D. Rockefeller. Yep, the rich guy. Anyway the guy working on the Rockefeller's ship that day was polishing the brass or he was suppose to be. That ship has way too much brass to polish for me, but the guy was working on his car instead.
