Re: Officially
Congrats! But you're about a year behind me. My 1 year of retirement was June 1st. Figuring out what to do everyday is easy at first but after a few months you have to start planning. I have been using Vettix a lot lately just to have things to do. If you are not signed up yet you should be. Lots of events in PA. I took the family to see Ed Sheeran last week, seats on the Eagles field right in front of the stage and only paid 15 dollars for all 3 tickets.

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Re: Officially
One thing you will find out about cashing in all your chips.... Each day you will wonder why you got so much done when you were working,
and now you find out there isn't enough hours in the day to get those same things done properly!
But relax and stop trying to figure that implacable puzzle out, just set your sights and goals a bit under the radar and enjoy.
I'm just about older than dirt... I became retarded, oh I mean retired in April of 2005

I retired over four years ago. It's been great, except for 2022 ... covid bullshit.

Re: Officially
Sgt, I retired the first time in 96, failed miserable. I was just too young and ran out of fun stuff to do. I'm going to work hard at not failing retirement this time .
The great thing about teaching is that I didn't have to do it so I could view it as a hobby, something that I enjoyed doing but with summer off when I had other things I would rather be doing. Just like the military the environment changes over time and it's no longer what you signed up for and therefore it is time to go.
I have lots of little projects that need my attention and come fall I can enjoy uninterrupted hunting

Re: Officially
Congrats! 9 months for me. I recently was recruited for a part-time job at Spaceport America. I like it, see lots of interesting stuff and work whenever I want. No set schedule.

Re: Officially
I hope your retirement is great, and totally enjoyable. The first two plus years of mine were "covid this, covid that".

Way cool Chief. I suppose if the aliens finally get around to landing they'll likely do it right there. Keep yer eyes open!
