ADD WHAT YOU LIKE THREAD

Post by Suzuki Johnny »

Most threads have a single conversational topic....I thought I would start a thread where you could begin a conversation about what's on your mind at the time ...it can be anything...just speak your mind and let 'er rip....It's going to be interesting where this thread will take us.....

It's like this morning.....

......This morning the fog is so thick you can slice it with a knife....unless it clears off by mid morning I will not be going on our retiree ride this am... I hate to ride in conditions where you are unable to see the vehicle in front of you until you are right on it's behind...too many variables to contend with ...besides the wet pavement...
We get fog like this usually this time of the year along the Gulf Coast when the moisture is abundant and the wind has died down to nothing.... It makes for some interesting duck hunts but very little else....

Had a little fog here this morning.
I had a love hate relationship with fog when I worked on the North Sea. If I was in the airport Aberdeen and was told that the rig was fogged in and flights would be delayed for a day or 2 it was "whoopee, lets go to the bar". If I was off-shore when this news came through it was "shit, g'damn, bollocks, stuck on this steel island again"
I can't say I have had an envious life, had a fair share of up's and downs, but it was never boring. I learned a long time ago to accept the bad times and look forward to the good times to come, always took a chance and the chances usually proved to be good decisions, conforming to the life my peers expected was always a bad move.
Would I change anything in my past?? Nah! I don't think so, bad times, good times, life education, I am still surviving very well thank you.

Ice and snow. Eternal winter. If not for my two beautiful friends I'd go nuckinfutz, find a bad guy and thrust kick his ugly mug.

It's grandparents day at the school tomorrow. That means we will go down to the school around 10am and meet up with 2 of our grandkids, Shane 7 and Grayson 5. Their respective classes will do some skits with refreshments to follow, after which we get to take them home with us until their parents get off work towards evening. It will be a BUSY but FUN day tomorrow!! [emoji106]

I'm from South Mississippi and on some evenings, when the wind dies down at dusk and the moon is full...get up on the roof of the barn and you can see the fog rolling in from the Gulf...pretty cool to watch it come in...a wall coming at ya

We used to get something similar when I lived in Long Beach Long Island. It was right on the ocean and the fog literally rolled up the streets at times. Like you said, it is pretty cool to watch.

Yes I did...and no hits on the VROD yet, but I haven't done a full court press on advertising it either...if I still have it come early March it will go into the papers.

Yep, it might be. How do I fix it? I KNOW!!! Take the bike out to meet my wife for lunch! Now the only question is sweatshirt or windbreaker? It's only 68 right now...
