Anyone purchase from J&P Cycles?

Post by enforcer »

I know there's brick and motor locations, but none near me. Every time I search for Harley parts, that's what comes up. The prices look good, but I have a hard time finding info on quality. I plan on buying a new compensator if I need it, and they have a good price. Coupled with a new primary gasket and possibly a gold membership for discounts on more parts later on down the road, it seems to be the route to go. I just wish I had a location closer to me. :donno:
Current rides: 03 HD FLHT & 01 Yamaha XVS650(BIP)
Former: 87 Suzuki VS700, 94 BMW K1100LT & 91 Honda CB250

I don't want to own them all, just ride them all.

I know the name comes up quite often and it sorta seems as though I may have purchased something from them some time ago. My 1400 is still a work in construction even though it's completely ride able, but there's still parts I've had for a few years now that I haven't installed yet. Every part I've bought for the bike so far has been quality parts. The least quality parts are the ones that still remain on the bike itself from the factory. Their Japanese chrome jobs are inferior.

Yes, and I will never do business with them again. Ordered flag holder and flags, agreed to round up to support motorcycles. Then I get an email saying my order is shipped and it is only the support. Emails to then questioning this were never responded to, took forever to chat with the on line.

Nope they are not worth your time.

I've used J&P a few times. No problems. I prefer Dennis Kirk or Revzilla, but just a personal choice.

I talked to a rep from J&P cycles and he said that they will be phasing out the Metric catalog in the next few years, only American stuff...Harley, Indian, and Victory. Hmm, just when I bought a new Suzuki! :bang: :bang:

No problems with them, but they are very Harley oriented. Metric is an afterthought with them.
