Step 1 in trouble shooting...

If you are having a problem with your bike
and it has been sitting for awhile
or you just bought a used bike
and don't know when it has been tuned up last
or had an oil and filter change
STEP ONE should be to give it a COMPLETE TUNEUP
to include fresh fluids (oil, brake/clutch, anti-freeze),
plugs, filters (oil, air, fuel), lube of all moving parts,
and an overall eyeball check of brakes, lights, etc.
If STEP ONE has been accomplished, it will be much easier to pinpoint a problem.
(If I didn't think it were necessary to post this reminder, I wouldn't have. )
