common replacement parts?

I had a page book marked, from a link, in a thread, from the previous board.
I find myself in need of a new battery for my 1993 1400 Intruder. After three years my last one has said no more! I did a quick search on Amazon, and found a GEL battery for about 40 bucks. The last one I bought was close to a hundred, at Wal Mart, I think...
There used to be a list of common replacement parts, and substitutions, and now I can't find my link.

Yup on the battery

I use EMGO filters, Pirelli tires, Rotella T4, Corbin seats, Memphis Shades shields, Viking bags, the rest is OEM or generic.
