Anti drain valves never work properly, never have . For upside down filters you need to buy the highest quality.

I have had to convert filters to remote filter kits to get the filter in a down position so the drain back valve no longer matters.

On very expensive engines upside down filters are crap. I have fitted pre lubers to avoid this or your mega buck engine spends a few seconds running with no pressure re filling your filter.

But its good enough till the warranty runs out.

I have been using Fram filters on all of my vehicles, for more years than I can remember, and NEVER had an issue. Unless you have a vehicle like some Toyotas that use oil pressure to tension the timing chain, the anti-drain back feature is actually a non-issue.

My current vehicle has over 170,000 miles on it and runs great. My intruder is over 125,000 miles with fram filter most of the time and it still runs great.

I ran my 89 Dodge D100 over 220,000 miles and the engine ran great, the rest of the truck was falling apart but the engine and trans were working fine.

I am going to continue to use them.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Up to you, your machinery.
My preferred filters are Wix or Fleetguard but where I am located they are as easy to get as rocking horse shit. So I am using some unknown brand from Malaysia on my 800 it also fits the smaller Mazda saloons. B6Y1-14-302

Most european engines have hydraulic timing chain tensioners. Not just Toyota :lmao:

The anti drain valve does what it says, stop the oil from draining out of the filter on applications where the filter is fitted in such a way as facing up,--- commonly known as upside down filter. Some bigger engines have a ball valve in the filter housing and do not rely on the shit anti drain valve.

If you want your engine to run for a few seconds with no oil pressure then your happy. On expensive engines you don't do that.

Old intruders and old American iron cubic inch agricultural push rod crap will be fine. You dont have tolerance you have gaps ---in inches.

You sure???? The suzuki is a fine thread, ,--many look the same with same spigot but different threads Ille check this out.

Ide love to find a cheap filter source. I change filters far more than I change oil.

One thing you could do is what I did to the 750, the nipple was a real odd-ball size on the early models and nearly impossible to get hold of. I removed the threaded nipple, took it down to a local machine shop along with the "Mazda" filter and had a new one made. Cost a couple of hundred Bht.

Another idea gone south. What I can tell you is that the Mazda filter thread is 18mm Dia, not sure about the pitch, "O"-ring seal is ID 57mm OD 63mm cost 80 Bht.

It might come out if I had 2 nuts and locked them on the spigot but if I can get a filter for 80 baht fuck it.

Might be a bit more expensive in Pattaya due to the Farang loading.

Could be but I don't see many tourists in the parts shop buying oil filters. Christ ive been going there for 20 years, they even know what vehicles I have.
