Rim???
I know it's a long shot but does anyone have a lead on a Cast rear rim (no spokes) for a 1400? I am seriously considering getting a custom rim made to match the Front Snowflake rim I have.
I actually have 2 front Snowflake rims, one of which is powdercoated, but I plan on getting one of them chromed. Hope to find a source this weekend at the motorcycle show. The other will be sold once I find a rear rim or get one made. Might have to ship the spare front to the builder to get the rear made. If I get a price is anyone interested in me asking about multiple copies of the rear?

Re: Rim???
Yes it would but would people be willing to pay for them; I'm expecting the cost to be north of $1000.00Jolsen wrote:A snowflake rear for a 1400 ? CnC polished aluminum would be amazing?!!!

Re: Rim???
Rear rim for $1000 wouldn't be a bad price. $2000 is too rich for my blood.

Re: Rim???
I paid $6200 for my 06 & it only had 582 miles on her in 2012 I'm guessing I'm already at close to $4,000. getting it to where it is. 2 front rims $700, fender tips $100, visors $150, grips, $100, clutch & brake levers $30, Reservoir caps $50, mirrors, $40, Billet triple tree cover $50, chrome airbox covers $100, passenger peg lowers & pegs $200, backrest extension, $200,, Windshield $250, chrome driveshaft cover $50, Corbin seat $550, Progressive HD shocks $250, CDI $250, paint on the MCD tank & 1 sidecover $400, Intruder tank badges $50, K&N Air Filters, Luggage $350 so far & I'm either replacing the leather saddlebags with fibreglass ones unless one of the fine members here can track down a New Set of Leatherlyke bags for me as I can not get them in Canada due to there being no "importer"98VS1400 wrote:I'm always tossing the idea around to go with custom wheels for the Intruder. I just can't bring myself to spend over $2000 for wheels. I have that much in the bike as it sits right now. I would probably spend the money to paint the bike and upgrade the electronics to the Dyna setup. I could also use a new seat and a windshield. If I didn't reign myself in, I could see myself having $5000 invested in a bike that is a 1998 model with 30,000 miles on it.
I guess that beats paying big money for a Dyna Wide Glide though.

Re: Rim???
The cash to me is secondary as this is my "Mistress" cost means nothing & most folks would not put the cash into her that I already have let alone spend even moreJolsen wrote:I don't add it up lol

I just sent a denim jacket, that I had cut the sleeves off, to a friend in Ontario so she can get a bunch of stuff embroidered on it for me. I fully expect a bill between $100 & $200 by the time it's shipped back to me. Again the cost is secondary. If I'm working I make good money & I'm still saving cash every payday, while spending enough to enjoy the life I have/want
