Old IA member but new to this site from Vancouver bc

Well after a couple months of "trying" to view pages on IA

I am pleased to find this site and some of the old members too.

Hopefully all of the intel makes it over here. It would be a shame to lose those years of knowledge.

I will find a pic to post of the old girl and 1 of the warrior I just picked up to motivate me to get the intruder back on the road again. :putput: Also glad to see all the favorite emojis made it too :jester: some of my more used once I see

Some old pics. Intake is just mocked up. I have moved it to the other side of the bike.
Jockey shifter is mounted and working with the old clutch mastercylinder moved to the foot peg bracket using the shifter as a suicide clutch.

I will post some pics later of that...

I did have to do some chopping on my new to me warrior the day I got it lol. I couldn't reach the forward controls and I didnt have the stock ones so I made a bracket to move the forwards back into about the stock location.
That enabled me to keep all that sweet chrome.

The intruder has been a work in progress that I have started rete eking in the past few months. Should be ready for spring 2017 on collector plates lol its a 96

Welcome .Some of us have a new handle on this one.I was Paul on the purple but so much older now needed a old in it. Some nice work on that 1400.
I like Yamahas big V-twin.The feel is better than my harley and the looks of the one big push rod cover is cool.My 1700 RS has the fuel pump out at 44,000 but broke three drive belts! Do not buy a Panther belt :fubird: if you break one.Broke two in less than 7,000 miles! My friend broke his warrior belt and put a yamaha back on and two years later still good.We both are old drag strip racers.Got my last one from a salavge yard ,stock yamaha for $62 to my door and still good after 14,000 added to eight that were on it. See the BIG can is gone on your warrior [emoji2] I think two of them would look good out the back of my old 37 truck.Since most take them off the first thing should be lots stashed or thrown out by now.

THanks for the wEl come.

I plan on having an extra belt sitting in my saddlebags just in case.

However I only plan on keeping the warrior until I finish polishing up the intruder.
I must say though that the warrior is very very smooth and has great power
