 Hey there all

I am new here and thought I would say hello!!

I just picked up a 1999 VS1400!!

My first Suzuki road bike. I do have a 1982 Yamaha Virago 750, and I have my dad's 1972 Triumph Trident 750 that I plan to restore completely.

Hope I'll have pics soon so I'll keep you all up to speed when I can.

Hey all. I have good news!!!!!! I just ordered a set of designer clutch springs for my 1400. I can't wait to burn up the race fuel with a hooking clutch

Just installed new designer springs!!!!!! Can't believe how much of a difference it makes. Butt........ Still having an issue with slipping clutch when it gets hot! When I first put the bike back together I fired it up let it get warm and I couldn't get the clutch to slip a bit. Rode about 5 miles to test her out. Then riding home it started in about 4 th gear and 5 th gear. The clutches would slip in high rpm but if I backed off a little the bike would catch up with the throttle.

I changed about a week ago and put in amsoil 10-40 metric motorcycle oil. Would the synthetic oil have anything to do with this??

I was going to just change it out and go with valvoline 20-50 v-twin oilSAE

ANY INPUT WOULD HELP

Also while I was in there I put carbon fiber clutch plates in as well. It's the Barnett performance carbon fiber friction plates and brand new steel plates. And the new designer springs. The clutch grabs a lot but it get warm and they start slipping I don't know ;IDunno:

You still have air in the system, when it gets hot it expands.

Absolutely right!!!! I bled the clutch and BAM! All the clutches come right back! I have flushed the hydrolics again and bled them out and it has been running like a champ. Pulls the front tire off the ground!!! I am happy that it is running up to par. Thanks to Designer and thank you Lechy

I will post pics when I figure out how
