Just an update, turns out the starter was shot. The old battery that I used to try to start it fried the starter because of the low voltage/current etc... whatever. Installed a replacement and turned right over! Thanks everyone for the help!

Glad that it all worked out for you. Now since it's not to cold out get out and ride it.
If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.
