Omelette pizza

Post by Lechy »

As posted on the purple people eaters board.

I can't eat pizza, so I started making pizza omelettes. Beat up a couple of eggs, throw the mix into a frying pan, sprinkle liberally with Italian herbs, when almost cooked spread on a good sized dollop of pasta tomato sauce, then grate a whole load of sharp cheddar cheese and add fresh ground black pepper and a few warmed slices of chiorzo sausage. A side of fries and I am in hog's heaven.

This crazy recipe of yours sounds kinda interesting.

Aside from the type of meat and the fact there's no bread in it, tell us why you can't eat pizza?

It's prolly great. There's nothing in it I don't like.

Now I don't know about how the people there cook their food, but I'm a huge curry fan. I could see a healthy sprinkle of curry powder on that pizza omelet. Hell lets make it a combo and toss in some mushrooms and bell peppers, maybe a couple jalapenos. Oh my Lord, I could really get going on this thing!

Curry powder works well, so does shwarma spice. Hell, the omelette is only the base.
Enjoy.

Im pretty shure you will know that sharwarma is Arabic for sandwhich, but what im interested in is where you buy sharwarma powder,--do you mean mace.

Shawarma powder is a mix of spices, basically cumin, coriander, a little mace and nutmeg, cloves all fine ground.
I pick up a couple of packs when I am in Cairo.

Im having Houmos tonight with cockles and a cellary with pickled cabbage all home made.

A Blackpool kebab that I used to Eat would be nice but they were 2.95 25 years ago.

Stuffed with kebab meat and loads of cabbage with chilli sauce, They were a double hander, and about the size of a cows twat. You knew you had had one all the next day --- you could smell it from both ends.

Don't forget to keep the toilet roll in the fridge, I mis good old English food.

You can get little Shawrmas here for 60 baht --Might pick one of on the way home from Pooks.

I have just finished a couple of chicken shawarmas, same 60bt but small.
Yeah, them Turkish kebabs after a few pints were great, always wise to eat an ice cream afterwards.
I do miss a decent Indian curry.
