I totally agree with you. [space] That stuff is NOT "music",...nor does it take much, if any Talent.
Sure, folks can choose to listen to it if they want. All that really shows is their LACK of Discerning Taste and Low-level acceptance of what is deemed Entertainment,.....when there is SO MUCH other actual music being performed to listen to.
when they named it RAP,...they just left off the "C" that goes in front.

The Carpenters was one of my favorite groups.
In my opinion 50s and 60s music had a message that wont be heard for a long time.
Rap just brags to a beat

An honest rapper would tell you that rap is not music per se, but rather street poetry set to a beat and (often) sampled melody. So in that respect, no, it can't compare. It's almost an art form unto itself.
I like rap. [emoji2] I like a lot of other stuff too. No reason to pigeonhole myself.
