I mean, after all, I have a new guitar, right!

[youtube][/youtube]

I'm gonna start with the real basics....its been quite a while for me and after seeing a few vids, I see some stuff I didn't know. This first vid is great for beginning picking and right/left hand co-ordination. More will come, so long as my guitar don't git stole again! LOL [emoji106]

Not really, but I love Robin and his music so that's what I'm practicing along with the first post to get my skills better. That one's great for a warm up. I do know another old song that I can't remember the name of though, but I'm a little sloppy at it still, so I'm just getting back to improving my overall control and trying to be consistent with good sounds and technique.

Bridge of Sighs is one of my favorite songs and it's not really too overly difficult, you can play it slow and it still sounds good. I want to get as good at that song as I can. There's other stuff of his I really enjoy too.

If you want a real challenge, Day Tripper by the Beatles, an easy riff to play but a real bastid to master.

My Dad was song leader and deacon at church for over 40 years and asked to sing at lots of places even when very old.The old Jimmy Davis Supper Time was the most requested one.He and my baby sister were the only ones of us seven that could play. They both could play anthing after having it a while. Dad had a juice harp, guiter, and other things. I have the cheap guitar with other can not toss but may want to look at one day stuff stored in top the house. My grandson can play but lost all wanting too and sold all but one that our local famous Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery/Gentry signed way back. So after seeing this a few times I may want to cut a record or have the law called on me [emoji2] .Way back in the 70s the law called me telling me to cool it awhile on taking the drag bike by this one house. She calls about every week about something he said so we don't see it as that big a deal way out were you are. I bet half the local cops had motorcycles back then.

An all time classic. [emoji106] I'll have to look up the chords on that one again...I've always been in conflict with that song and how it's played...Some people say, play it like this, others say no, no, like this! It's nice to see these videos too. Back in the day there weren't a lot videos so readily available like there are now. [emoji41] It tends to show the interpretations of what people think are being played to what is actually being played. Much like some other stuff I could reference... :naughty:

Come on. Don't wanna get shown up by a girl do ya?

Note for note perfection, with every bend, shake, hammer and pull-off precisely executed. That custom Schecter sounds vicious too!
