I posted this over on IA but think it may help out riders over here.
I got me a fresh Intruder 800, the PO was a bloody butcher and a numpty, No horn, no indicators, all wires removed, not a problem, got that crap sorted.
Decided to go for a good run, got about an hour into it when the clutch packed up completely. Started slipping and ended up just not functioning at all, I could select any gear but the bike refused to move. I managed to get a hold of a cheapo shifter and rag, covered the banjo coupling and cracked it open. The trapped pressure bled out, after a little bleeding through the banjo I was on my merry way, the clutch lasted good for the next 3 hours. Tomorrow it will be a strip-down, clean of the master cylinder and full bleed through.
JFYI.
Clutch issue FYI

Re: Clutch issue FYI
Arrrgh, might have been water or vapor in the fluid. Where you live I'd not be surprised.
