VS800 Custom Rear Fender

Post by MJM »

Decided to finally chop my rear fender.

I think it came out pretty well - all I needed was a metal grinder and a small hammer (to bang out that mounting bump) + bondo and varying gauges of sandpaper

Just finished painting today [emoji2]

With this do you keep the rear seat? Did you have to hard tail it?

No, this modification will not accommodate a passenger - that was my choice however. I'm sure there are ways to do it though.

No hardtail here! That would be absolutely brutal where I live! I have 11.5" progressive shocks that I will reinstall when the bike goes back together. I will use spacers to make up for where the passenger grips once were.
The rear suspension mounts directly to the frame - no need to mess with it after a fender mod.
