What size bars

Post by Miller6323 »

Hey guys I have an 04 vs800 and I'm looking into changing the handlebars. I was wondering how tall I could go without having to extend wiring or change cables. I would like to go up to 10" bars if possible. Here's a link to the bars I'm looking at. https://www.deadbeatcustoms.com/harddri ... lications/

10" is the recommended max height without changing wires or hoses. Personally I was able to manipulate the clutch and front brake hoses and used 12" bars. The wiring was fine at that height but the throttle cable is absolutely maxed out. I already have longer braided hoses and once I get a longer throttle cable I'll be going to 14" bars.

I ended up going with the 8" and wish now I would have went with the 10". They would have easily fit and looked better.

I probably will end up with 10s. Gotta enjoys the 8s for now. The wife would kill me if I bought another new set.
