Spinning frame Nuts

The newest problem, the nuts on the frame that you bolt the gas tank to have come loose.

The threading is good still but they spin when you try to attach the gas tank and the bracket.

I do not own a welder, any other ideas I could try?

Google 'nutsert' or 'rivnut'
They come in a variety of sizes, drill out the offending spinner, and install a new one...look at images for how they work.

Ok long overdue update, bought a set from harbor freight and it worked great. Thanks for the info. :)

I had a similar problem awhile back - One day I took my tank off and when I went to bolt it back in (just in front of the seat) there was nothing to thread it into - just an empty hole in my frame.

My solution was to drill directly through the other side of the frame and zip tie a 'cage nut' on the bottom. It was originally supposed to be a temporary fix but has held up for a few years now and I haven't really felt the need to change it. Kind of a renegade solution but it works + cost me no more than $5
