There is nothing wrong with your spacing.
The tire/wheel is not centered within the swing arm.
Those measurements are normal.

Er is niets mis met je afstand.
De band/het wiel is niet gecentreerd binnen de zwenkarm.
Die metingen zijn normaal.

The tire is very close to the driveshaft housing.
You can go as wide as 150/90-15 without problems.
Be sure the tire is properly inflated....I like 38 psi.

Is there any chance that the rear wheel is not properly installed causing it to be offset?

It is possible if part #25 on the fiche is missing.
part # 64772-34201

I know that the wheel is offset to the left but the picture shows it a lot closer than it should be.

Glad to hear you fixed the problem.

I am wondering how this could have happened.

Seems like there has to be something else done wrong in the past.

The next time you have the back wheel off I would use the parts fiche and verify all of the parts in it. I wonder if it could be something missing on the drive portion.

I think the tire is the problem, it is a Metzler 140/90/15

That's the stock size.
