What could be wrong? When I try to give it gas, it will die.
This is kind of where I was 3 years ago, but then - at that time - I had to give it constant gas to get home. It wouldn’t stay on unless I gave it constant gas.
Now it’s the opposite. When I try to give it gas it will die. It will die after a minute of staying on too.
New fuel pump and coils.
I did take out the carbs to clean them.
Ok my 97 intruder will start but will die in 30 seconds - 1 minute

It's been sitting for 3 years? Did you get fresh gas and clean out the tank? Clean the fuel tap?
Carbs are probably still dirty. Pilot / idle circuits clog up over time sitting and can be really hard to get clean.

It hasn’t exactly sat for three years - last year I was able to ride down the block before it would die out. Now I can even give it gas without it dying.
What is the fuel tap and how do I clean it?

Fuel tap is the petcock.
Connect a hose to it and drain the tank.
Remove the tank from the bike, there will still be some fuel in it.
Two bolts to remove the petcock, then dump the fuel.
Carb cleaner spray to clean.
