Has anyone installed custom exhaust

Post by Chaulkboard »

Wondering if anyone has installed custom exhaust on any vs800 builds? Any upsweep exhaust in particular and how you did it. My intruder came stock with pipes exiting on the same side, anyone customize that at all? Looking for ideas and tips.

If your pipes both exit on the same side, they are not stock. Someone has changed them.
The Head pipes are probably stock and would accept Vance & Hines exhaust.

I thought the same thing so I looked it up, the VL 800 was also called an intruder and it had same side exhaust.

I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

I have fishtails to install, but would like to have them sweep up at 45 degree but the swing arm is in the way and was wondering if anyone has done any upsweep systems. One pipe on each side.

That's a really shallow angle for the rear triangle / hardtail. I'd be a bit wary about the integrity of that over time.
