The bike flipped head over ass a few weeks ago and ended up breaking the speedometer mount... Does anybody know where I might be able to find just the housing or a digital replacement of the whole thing that would fit properly in its place? Not sure if the latter would even exist but any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

Re: Speedometer/Odometer housing replacement
eBay is your best bet for a 2nd hand replacement unit. Doubt you will find just the casing - you'll probably have to pay up for the whole thing.
There are a bunch of aftermarket replacement units around - they vary in quality but there isn't a "plug and play" version out there - you will need to work out how to mount it and wire it up. Can get a bit ugly if you don't have wiring skills or lots of patience.

Hello RubyEye. Hope you weren't hurt when the bike flipped over. I see you are kinda new. Glad you are here!RubyEye wrote: ↑Sun Aug 21, 2022 2:26 pmThe bike flipped head over ass a few weeks ago and ended up breaking the speedometer mount... Re: Speedometer/Odometer housing replacement
You would want to go for the second one - you need the glass for the speedo and not just the mount. Keep in mind the glass is held in by a pressed ring so not the easiest thing to replace by itself.
Will still require a bit of wiring tweaking though....

The 2nd one, I do not believe is from a VS800, it's suzuki but not a VS800. JMO
Looks much older with the turn and stand lights, it may not be plug and play for a S50.

Re: Speedometer/Odometer housing replacement
I see Designer changed his link - the second one he posted originally was this one with the wires chopped off...not sure if this would work either...

RubyEye, I improved my offering to help you out better with that upgraded Item in the link.
The Gauge hillsy just posted (with the chopped off wiring) is MUCH older and much more questionable as to workability and reliability.
For the few dollars more, the one I Posted should prove a better investment of time and money for you.

Re: Speedometer/Odometer housing replacement
This looks to be the same as the one you have with the single indicator pilot light in the speedo housing:
A fair bit more expensive though (albeit in better condition)...

Or a cheaper one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/175281349313?f ... %3A2047675
