Quick question about the turn signals

Are the rear turn signals supposed to be illuminated when the bike is on?

I noticed my front turn signal lights are illuminated but the rear ones are not. The turn signals do flash when the signal is on.

Thinking I might have a wiring problem unless you guys tell me otherwise.

I've not seen the turn signals as running lights on the 800's I have worked on.

Anyone else?

The VS800 rear signals do not illuminate when the bike is on.
They are signals only, single filament, 1156 bulbs.
The front are signals and running lights, dual filament 1157 bulbs.

In most states it is illegal to have any constant light seen from the rear, except the license plate light, to be anything but red.
