To the dumbasses who have trouble reading due to their butthurt - I'll spell it out again...

All I was saying was be careful how you use hammers around the magnets in these rotors.

Pull the thing off whatever way you want but just be careful because you can easily fuck them up by hitting them.

To the antagonistic ones who cannot accept they were mistaken in what they read and then also in lecturing others.

When he says ..." when beating these things with a hammer - the magnets can quite easily get de-magnetised.....worst case scenario the magnets can even break and fall out of the rotor."...he is directly referring to the Rotor itself.

And BTW - you should take care when beating these things with a hammer - the magnets can quite easily get de-magnetised..... and then you'll wonder why your stator is not putting out decent voltage... worst case scenario the magnets can even break and fall out of the rotor....

Lechy never said he was ...."banging on the rotor". He originally said this;

Nah Hillsy, the Intruders are a different set up, ...... It took quite a while heating the centre of the rotor and beating on the puller bolt but it eventually popped off (with a bloody big bang and clatter). Rig mechanics don't pussyfoot around, LOL

Which the antagonistic one didn't understand or didn't read correctly. Proof of which comes when Lechy corrected him on with this;

When pulling hubs you don't beat on the hub but on the head of the pulling bolt when under tension the term for this is "jarring".

Such lack of correct reading of what was said was the cause of the needless down-talking lecturing not in keeping with the Helping Spirit of this Tech Board.
