Hi !
I have an extra pair of VS800 shocks laying around that I picked up when I bought some parts a long time ago. Was wondering if it's possible to take these apart and rebuild them. If so, I could powdercoat the spring and outside hats and put it all together.
I checked the parts catalog and they don't seem to sell the new internals for the factory shocks. On the catalog website they just sell the shocks as one complete unit.
Do you guys know if these can be taken apart and put back together?
I have read that most guys go for progressive 412s and call it a day. But I would really like to know if it's possible to fix these up.
Also, the 412s are a bit pricey.
I found these ebay shocks that appear to be a good price and the appropriate height of 12+ inches.

Thoughts?
Thanks!
Emmanuel

The shocks are not made to be rebuilt. They are sealed like most car shocks.
