Intruders-Alert

On my 95 Intruder 1400 ,.Recently reversed the fuel tank petcock around so the lines come straight down,.Has anyone else tried this,.,

I did. Briefly. Then I realized I'd need to cut the fuel hoses shorter. Also, it makes it kind of a pain to shut off the petcock with it facing to front.
I did it because I thought if the pickup tube was facing the rear it would get more gas out of the tank. (ie. more "capacity") it didn't.. the reserve pickup (which is just straight up & down) is still the lowest point in the tank. At least that's how my experiment went.

Well I did try it and makes the lines neater,.,But realized I had them backwards.,lol So have to take the tank back off ,.,And yes your right does make it difficult to shut tank valve off,.,But replaced fuel hose with Ethanol trsist hose so there a little thicker.
