Where can I tap into oil pressure for a guage

Post by PrinceMo »

I had to weld my oil sensor port shut.
Where can I get oil pressure for a guage on my 1400cc Intruder.
I cant use the place just to the right of the org port because it is welded too.
If you can help please send me photos.

Thanks.

You might have to rock it without one.

Drill and tap the welded hole, and place it back in the original position.

You are going to have to figure out a fitting system that t's off of the pressure line to the oil cooler.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Shouldn't be that difficult to find/make a "T" fitting that would allow you screw in the sender and the banjo bolt.

You use a double banjo if you buy a double banjo bolt but don't forget the separator washer.

I don't know why you cant drill and re tap the weld as suggested.

Cant use org spot because of sloppy welding.

Then covered the whole thing with a few coats of jb weld.
If i could use it i would.

That would not be a good idea. You should be able to find a "T" fitting that would screw in where the oil cooler line goes and have the banjo bolt screw into the other end.

Then take out the bolt(thingy) and take it to a shop. Don't lose the 2 sealing washesr above and below the banjo or buy new ones.
