First off, check the rubber boots from filters to carbs for full and correct seating, then do a synch.

yeah i got em seated good. could feel them both pop down into the boot. the rear carb is harder to get that seal on between the air box and the back of the carb. Ill check it again tonight. thinking of making my own carb sink tool with a couple of vacc gauges. where do i hook up the vacc lines on the carbs?

One of you is talking rubber boot from engine to carb and the other carb to filter.

Only one is important and its not carb to filter.

needs sorting out if you want to go further on this.

one of the jets fell out of its slot in the fuel bowl. didn't need to do a sync but i did have to zero out the mixture screws and reset them using the idle drop method. still got a little popping when first started but it smooths out once its warmed up.

So...was it worth the cleaning? Does it run better or worse than prior to the cleaning work?
