Can the heart and soul be transplanted if the body dies...

Post by BRONX INTRUDER »

I didn't know if rhis should go here or in the chit chat area..
Went here because does pertain to the vs1400 engine. Lol.
Am thinking about the possibility or putting one of the vs1400 engines i have into a go-kart. Wondering if it would work out and if i'd be able to get a reverse gear. Lol.
What do you guys think?

Sounds like a fun project, but I think reverse would be a major problem.

Maybe run the power through another transmission, with a reverse.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

It's doable if you have the tools and skills, As for a reverse, not needed in a go-cart, just pick up the front and walk it round.

I mean sorta dune buggy-ish.. Not the slick tired small single seating go kart. Lol. So reverse would be great. Lol.

A geared down starter motor hooked up to the prop shaft springs to my mind. Not too sure how the gears would react to spinning backwards though.

I Like it!!!, maybe figure a way with the shaft drive to make it into a 4WD go kart, or ALL wheel drive which ever way you wanna say it, would get some wicked traction either way :)
