Decom control unit ?

Post by PKOS »

I have a 1987 1400 Intruder while trying to test if it was working[battery and ,tester] wires touched and cooked it ,need a new one ,but everywhere i have looked Says ,''No longer available ,No longer made''[ the part number is : 32910-24B10
C8D 27S-B
OMRON JAPAN
20X7D2
but later Models/Years have the part Number the same as :329-24B10 ,is there any real difference or are they all the same with this part number ? will it work on my year model
Thankyou

The 1500 decomp is different but I'm pretty sure all the 1400s were the same throughout the years.

If it is the same part number it will work.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

In our DropBox there is a folder called Other Information that has the Decomp diagram. You can also pull a shop manual from the DropBox.

It looks like Partzilla has the part but I am not sure if it changed with different years.

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.

Suzuki will often re-issue / remake a part and change the part number. The part is the same - it just "supersedes" the original.

Obviously if it has the original part number it is correct -but don't think a different part number is a dead end.
