2 things to consider:1 blocked bleeder nipple. 2:Collapsed inner sheathing in the hose.
You were right. Stainless line from cup to master was plugged up. Got a good used one off ebay and it's working flawlessly now.

Also.. For anyone else who comes across this thread; I do not recommend Russell stainless braided lines. They should have made them a little longer for a little slack. (R08451S)

Holy crap - that's not right

You'd want to be careful the line doesn't rupture under suspension compression.

With the swingarm pivot being above the brake line the suspension compressing will stretch the line more.

If it's really tight right now then yeah you'd want to keep an eye on it.

It's taught.. I can flex it downward about half an inch. I might just look for another one with a little more length. Sucks.

If you know what length you need you can search eBay for braided brake lines - the fittings are universal (IE: banjo at each end) so just search "motorcycle braided brake lines, 70cm" as an example and there's a heap of them for around $10.

I had pit bike braided lines on the front of my XJ900 for over 2 years without any dramas.

Find an industrial hose supplier locally (truck repairs) they should be able to make one from stock whilst you wait. It's what I did when my clutch line blew out.
Grow old disgracefully young man.

Thanks for the tips and advice fam.
I reached out to seller on ebay and hopefully they can fix this issue. The bike has other things needing fixed too like fuel leaking so it ain't leaving garage just yet.
