A\F screw

Post by arcticchas »

Hi guys, I've bought a 98 VS1400 that had a backfire issue.
So after replacing the plugs with no change, I went for the air filters next.
To my surprise, there wasn't a front filter at all.
So I went with the K&N's but got even more backfire, and a little stuttering at half throttle.
I'm thinking about tweeking the A\F screw, but I cannot find the plugged hole.
I've searched on line and in the manual, but no luck.
Could someone point me to a picture with the location?
Thanks much,
Charlie

Never mind, I found them, at least on the front.
Thanks anyway,

The rear is on the opposite side from the front, very close to the intake manifold, rubber mounting boot.

You may want to dig around on Night Wolf for more info.

If you have any type of electrical issue, have your battery load tested before you do anything else. Any auto parts store will test it for free.
