throttle cable s83 vs vs1400

Post by The1Chef »

I am guessing that the cables are identical on the lower part but the throttle swction is different lengths because of different bars.Does anyone know?

The parts diagrams show different part numbers for throttle cable for the pull-back vs. flat bars but, because the part is listed as an assembly, you can't tell which part of the cable may be different. It is likely, though, that only the upper section changed.

I can tell you, from experience, the upper cable is the difference. had to change the upper one because the cable started fraying at the twist grip and didn't want to return to idle.
I can't seem to win the lottery. I think I have used up all of my good luck riding motorcycles.

Perfect. Just what I thought.
vs1400 cable is 27$ and available all over.
s83 cables are 75$ and out of stock

The guy only needs a lower part
