K&N Air Filter Lifespan
How long can the K&N drop-in air filter pods be used? I clean and oil mine every year, but they're about 5 years old with 15,000 miles on them. Do I have a few more miles left on them, or should I buy new ones? Thanks.

From the K&N website,"The durable filter frame and media is designed to last for the entire lifespan of your vehicle, and is protected by a 10-Year/Million Mile Limited Warranty."
On other pages, they say they don't need to be cleaned for 50,000 miles in most applications.

Re: K&N Air Filter Lifespan
I have the K & N air filters, pull them every year just to inspect and oil as needed. If stiff and crumbly, toss out. I run about 5-8k a year up in New England, but find they last better against the cold and moisture then regular filters. Mind are 7 years old now.
