I would pull and charge the battery first.

Re: bike dead no horn
Just where are you measuring that 2V? Battery power should be applied to one side of the horn, and the horn button grounds the other side.Jesserkugelman wrote:bike starts and idles like a champ but when put in gear it spits studders and dies or just dies...on another subject my horn when button is pressed is only reading 2v any thoughts

Re: bike dead no horn
If it starts and then dies going into gear could the issue be the clutch. I say bleed the clutch or if it has been over two years since you changed the fluid completely change out the fluid. Just don't let the master cylinder go dry.

I would always check the battery first, but my second guess was the side stand (I forgot that one a few times) or clutch.Fred wrote:Leckbass wrote:I would pull and charge the battery first.

Re: bike dead no horn
So, the switch side of the horn? If so, then the switch is not properly grounded, or is too dirty, or maybe the wire is failing. Voltage at the switch side of the horn should be very close to 0V.Jesserkugelman wrote:Measuring the voltage at the connection when button pressed
