Darkside tire

Post by Leckbass »

My buddy needs a tire on his 1400 and he was looking at a few car tires. I didn't see much info on the darkside website. I was wondering what car tires you guys ran? I figure I might get one for myself as well.

I had an LC and ran a directional 195/65-15 tyre. It was an Alpha Accelera. I knew the guy at my local car tyre place and asked him for the stickiest directional tyre in that size and he recommended that one (I'm in Australia).

From memory the popular tyres in the US where the Goodyear Triple Tread and the General Altimax HP....but I dont think you can get the Altimax anymore??

Yes - 195/65-15. I have heard of some using a 205 but I've heard there is some trimming and grinding required to make room for it.
